Update iPhone 4 baseband to 4.10.01 for Gevey on iOS 5

1. I do not currently have a Gevey but I just bought an iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 with baseband 3.10.01. I hear only 4.10.01 works on 5.0.1 with a gevey ultra? Id like to know how to upgrade to 4.10.01 without upgrading to 4.11.08, or if someone could confirm that 3.10.01 works right with gevey on ios5 that works too!
