I've always compared my nonexistent muscles to the possibly imaginary rabbit Harvey in the fanciful play of that title.
But Ryan Gosling takes the abs/animal analogy to a higher level. He actually considers his muscles--which he definitely has, by the way--to be his pets.
"After a while," he told an interviewer, "they're like pets because they don't do anything useful. But you have to feed them and take care of them, otherwise they'll go away. I feel a bit goofy having them, to tell you the truth."
Ryan shouldn't feel that way at all! All those muscles may be completely useless when it comes to anything practical, but they're certainly delicious to the eye.
Here, kitty, kitty.
